Let us tell you a story…
On 10 June 2017, two young guys from Puglia met in Belgium. Imbued with that southern Italian way of life and stubborn determination we had both individually set out to leave our mark in the world. Finally, after traveling and working all over the world, our hearts had settled on Belgium.
Of all the countries possible, who would’ve thought our passion for our business and Pizza would bring us here, the country of “Frietjes” and chocolate but as they say in our home-country “Eccoci” :)
Having worked in different businesses and cultures for a long time, we not only gained the necessary “savoir-faire” but more importantly, we realised we both wanted to create something special. Something unique that represented who we were. The place we had in mind would not only be a cosy get-away from home or those busy working-days, but also would it ensure our clients could genuinely enjoy a good time. No fuss and real emotion – this is our mantra. By combining our experience in the restaurant business and passion for the “métier”, we eventually opened “Al Bacio” and we have not looked back ever since.
At ‘Al Bacio’ we seek to create a relaxed atmosphere whilst you enjoy our Bari-style Pizza’s and some good music. We absolutely look forward to welcoming you @ Al Bacio soon!

If I were to describe myself in 3 words, those would unequivocally be: Creative, energetic, and determined.
I have never been someone to invest only 5% of myself into what I do. Together with Giovanni, we sought to create something unique, that we are passionate about. We both agreed we wanted a place where everyone would feel welcome and have a great time. Seeing our clients, many of which have become close friends throughout the years, enjoying one of my Pizza's, a good glass of wine, and the music whilst going home with a smile on their faces only confirms that this where we're supposed to be.

June 2017, I was still working for the company when the opportunity presented itself to open 'Al Bacio'. The decision to approach Claudio with this idea came only naturally as we had grown to become the closest of friends. On top of this, in terms of know-how and expertise, we complemented each other perfectly - whilst he takes care of everything that happens in the kitchen, I take are of the restaurant. And thus, 'Al Bacio' was born.
